IT can become incredibly frustrating – you think it is bad as a consumer….feel sorry for those who deliver IT; never fast enough, never works, too expensive etc….
We, as humans, constantly evolve and adapt to what is around us - environment, work, friends, family, pandemic! Our lives are always changing and our ability to deal with these changes enable us to grow and thrive.
Agile has been around within IT for many years and has been instrumental in technological growth and demand to meet ‘our’ changing lives.
Wikipedia quotes…
‘In software development, agile (sometimes written Agile) practices involve discovering requirements and developing solutions through the collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams and their customer(s)/end user(s). It advocates adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continual improvement, and it encourages flexible responses to change.’
Many companies adopt agile principle within their business now (outside of IT) but it tends to be more corporate/enterprises. Big bang approaches are incredibly challenging; this accelerated digital world (thanks again to COVID!) demands we need things now.
Agile is more about the principle and mind set, as opposed to tools. This said, there are great tools that can be used. Here is a link to my good friend Eban Escott’s company at Codebots. It compares some tools from an IT perspective but you can see how they can be applied away from this. I hope you don’t mind me nicking this sir?
I encourage you to understand agile and see how it can be implemented within your business. As it is about making small changes, continuously, to your business then it should not be too risky……right?
Need help, then I’d love to chat….
